“Besides torturing the online public with Holiday ads for my digital marketing clients for about a month now… I’m currently working on a side project called Ecommerce Canada Group. Between Facebook and LinkedIn we have a community of over 200 Canadian ecommerce specialists involved, discussing an industry that does not get much love. If you are an entrepreneur, I highly recommend having a side project on the go for your mental health 🙂 www.EcommerceCanadaGroup.ca.”

“The Practice Ignition road trip continues. I just got back from a week at San Jose for the annual QuickBooks Connect conference. Definitely the largest and most impressive conference I’ve been to. Keynote was done by Oprah (sadly, no new cars though), Plus I got to spend some time at Intuit’s Silicon Valley HQ which was a cool experience.

Next is Toronto for Intuit Canada’s first conference called Thrive. P.S. Practice Ignition is hiring for a Support + Partner Manager right here in Kelowna! Ideal for any recent grads or someone looking to break into a small but rapidly growing tech startup! If interested, reach out to me at [email protected].”

“After arriving here in Kelowna with the family only 3 months ago from the UK, I have found a great community through the co+Lab and Innovation centre. Already, I have a number of leads and projects working with some of the greatest minds across Kelowna and North America. One such project includes building physical community and social ties across smaller communities like Kelowna. I am a seasoned, accomplished experience designer working across all things user focused, specialising in end to end experiences making peoples connected lives extraordinary experiences. If you need product design strategy and project management, user and product research, wireframes, interactive prototypes or visual design get in touch. I also co-host the internet of things (IOT) meetup group in the co+Lab, project managing and chairing the meetings. The group brings together people and disciplines across Kelowna including engineering, software, design, marketing and finance to develop end to end connected solutions. Check us out on the co+Lab meetup site and come along, but be prepared to get stuck in as we look to develop an actual IOT solution together.”
